Our Commitment to Privacy

FocuSound ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any personal information. FocuSound is designed to work completely offline and does not require user registration or login.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers:

• Saved Mixes: Your custom sound mix configurations (sound combinations and volume levels)
• App Settings: Your preferences such as fade duration, theme selection, and timer presets
• Recently Used Sounds: Your recent sound selections for quick access

Important: This data remains on your device. If you uninstall the App, this data will be permanently deleted from your device.

Anonymous Usage Analytics (Optional)

With your explicit consent (opt-in), we collect minimal anonymous usage analytics to improve the App:

• App version and device type (e.g., iPhone 14, iOS 17.0)
• Crash reports for debugging (no personal data included)
• Aggregated feature usage (e.g., "Timer feature used 100 times today globally")
• Session duration and frequency (anonymous statistics only)

You can opt out at any time through the App's Settings screen. This is completely optional and does not affect App functionality.

What We DO NOT Collect

We explicitly DO NOT collect, store, or process:

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers (UDID, advertising IDs)
• Contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Microphone or camera access
• Biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID)

Third-Party Services

FocuSound uses the following third-party services:

Sentry (Crash Reporting - Optional)

If you opt in to analytics, we use Sentry for crash reporting to identify and fix bugs. Sentry collects:

• Anonymous crash logs and stack traces
• Device model and operating system version
• App version and build number

Audio File Sources

All audio files are bundled with the App and stored on your device. We do not stream audio from external servers or track your listening habits. Audio files are licensed from the following sources:

• Public Domain: Selected sounds from public domain archives
• Creative Commons: Sounds licensed under CC0 and CC BY 4.0
• Custom Created: Sounds created by FocuSound team

Children's Privacy

FocuSound is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App does not require registration or collect any personal data.

Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal security risk. Your locally stored preferences are protected by your device's operating system security (iOS/Android encryption).

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Opt out of analytics: Disable analytics in Settings → Privacy → Analytics (Off)
• Delete your data: Uninstall the App to permanently delete all local data
• Request information: Contact us to ask questions about our privacy practices

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
• Displaying an in-app notification when you first open the updated App

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Legal Basis (GDPR/CCPA Compliance)

GDPR (European Users): We do not process personal data as defined by GDPR. Local storage on your device is not considered data processing by us.

CCPA (California Users): We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information as defined by CCPA.
